circa 1870, with octagonal to round blued 29in. barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight, elevating rear-sight, tubular receiver with large cocking piece to bolt, turned down bolt-handle and rear-mounted cocking indicator, walnut straight-hand three-quarter stock (cracked through and repaired at wrist) with iron furniture including single barrel-band and moulded nose-cap with provision for clearing rod (absent)
