circa 1927, 29in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, the tubes engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 99. MOUNT STREET BERKELEY SQUARE LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, some pits No.1, slender W. Baker patent assisted-opening actions, patent no. 16778 of 22nd March 1913, with Baker patent ejectors, slender fences, removable striker discs, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, cocking-indicators, non-selective single triggers, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the lockplates gold-inlaid 'TWELVE - TWENTY', the undersides with a scrolling banners gold-inlaid 'CHARLES LANCASTER LONDON', traces of finish, 15 1/2in. replacement semi-pistolgrip stocks cast on for the left shoulder, fore-end wood No.2 with repairs, dovetailed insert repair and scratch chequering, weight 6lb. 3oz.
