circa 1885, with Henry rifled expertly re-browned 28in. damascus barrels signed 'Wm. HORTON' on the left breech-top and '11 EXCHANGE SQUARE, GLASGOW' on the right, matted top-rib, dove-tailed fore-sight, one folding and one standing notch rear-sight, Henry's patent use number '1755' stamped to the underside of the barrels forwards of the flats, brushed bright borderline engraved action body with re-blued Jones-type swing under-lever, borderline engraved re-blued back-action locks signed 'Wm HORTON', sliding safes behind the hammers, chequered pistol-grip butt-stock with full tang and capped grip, smooth iron heel-plate, chequered walnut splinter fore-end with cross-key fastener and eyelets for sling hooks
