AN 80-BORE PERCUSSION TRIGGER-COCKING REVOLVER, MODEL 'TRANTER'S DOUBLE-TRIGGER', serial no. 18332T,
circa 1856, with octagonal 4 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap borderline and scroll engraved and signed 'HENRY CHALLENER, 61 KING ST. WEST, SYDNEY N,S.W.', border engraved plain five shot cylinder (in the white), borderline and scroll engraved frame with sliding safe to right hand side, trigger-cocking double action mechanism with spur-less hammer and guarded trigger, the cocking trigger exposed outside guard, chequered swept semi saw-handled walnut butt, engraved domed butt-cap and fitted with 'Tranter's Patent' articulated rammer on left side of barrel, the whole with an older faded refinish and some pin-prick pitting
