circa 1865, with round 8in. sighted barrel, plain cylinder (number partially illegible), plain hinged frame stamped 'STARR PATENT JAN 10 1856' on the right hand side and 'STARR ARMS CO NEW-YORK' on the left, smooth flared walnut one-piece grip with traces of a martial cartouche on the left hand side and iron under-barrel loading lever, older refinish throughout
