for 1861, with blued 4in. octagonal barrel (strong traces of finish), the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML. COLT NEW-YORK US AMERICA', plain cylinder with roll engraved scene, colour-hardened open iron frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT', silver-plated brass grip-straps and trigger guard bow with much finish remaining, colour hardened articulated under-barrel rammer and smooth walnut grips
