A SCARCE 12-BORE 1863 PATENT PULL-BACK TOPLEVER SINGLE-BITE SNAP-ACTION SINGLE-BARRELLED HAMMERGUN, serial no. 2014,
30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrel (in 2018) engraved 'THOMAS HORSLEY MAKER YORK PATENT 2410' and with basket-weave engraved side shoulders at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. true cyl., missing bead fore-sight, action with carved serpentine fences, Horsley patent pull-back toplever, patent no. 2410 of 1st October 1863, non-rebounding back-action lock with dolphin hammer, border and acanthus scroll engraving, 14 1/4in. figured stock with steel buttplate (some rusting), fore-end with crosspin release and ornately carved shell finial, weight 5lb. 7oz.
