circa 1780, with slightly swamped round iron 8in. barrel, the top of breech engraved with a borderline needle and tear-drop and marked 'LONDON, SUC'R TO BARBAR', London proofs, engraved top-tang, straight radiused lock with borderline engraving and pointed tail signed 'CLEMMES, SHUG LANE' below the pan, bridleless frizzen, walnut full-stock with swollen pommel capped with a brass butt-cap with long side-spurs, engraved trigger-guard bow and finial, pierced side-plate with feathered tip and turned ramrod pipes with brass tipped ramrod
