AN 8-BORE FLINTLOCK IRON-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS or MUSKETOON SIGNED TOWER, no visible serial number,
circa 1830 and almost certainly assembled in the colonies, with heavily flared octagonal to round twist-iron barrel, the trumpet separated by an engraved band and with blind borderline engraved longitudinal flutes, plain integral top-tang, borderline engraved military style lock signed 'TOWER' at the tail and with 'G.R.' device and crown below pan (possibly spuriously signed), Indian style pointed frizzen, walnut full-stock with probably later coarse chequering at wrist, sheet brass furniture, iron reinforcing band at muzzle and iron ramrod
