both circa 1800, the first with 7 1/2in. narrow stiletto blade with traces of etching for its full length (stained and worn), central narrow fuller, gilded brass straight cross-guard with diamond shaped panels carved with floral decoration and ball tips, chequered ivory tapering hilt, carved cap, the top bearing a relief engraving of a cloverleaf (no scabbard), the second with cruciform 7 1/4in. narrow blade (cleaned), oval brass plate below the ball ended cross-guard (quillions removed), tapering turned ivory hilt with white metal collar and ball pommel mounted with a brass lion mask pommel-cap and the majority of its original scabbard
