24 3/4in. nitro barrel engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 13, BRUTON STREET, LONDON.', block-mounted open sights and folding leaf sight, marked for 150 and 350 yards, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with fold-over protector, the receiver mounted with a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1,5...6x42 T* telescopic sight, serial no. 1734993, in later fitted quickly-detachable mounts, the forward mount engraved in script '7 Remington', matt top receiver ring, sidewall originally tapped for a side mount (screws retained), side safety, floral engraved recoil blocks, hinged straddle floorplate with push button release, engraved '4 CARTRIDGES' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND', well-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece and monte carlo comb, steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels, horn finial, 14in. pull including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, weight 8lb. 6oz. (unscoped) and 9lb. 12oz. (with scope)

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed in May 1969 for Avila O'Farrill, as a 7mm Remington magnum magazine F.N. Mauser action, though the records subsequently note the rifle being 'sold shopsoiled (crossed out) as new to Armeria Casciano' in 1970
