AN ISOLATED LEFT-HAND COMPLETE LOCK MECHANISM FROM FLINTLOCK GUN serial no. 6769,
for 1815 and assumed from a double sporting-gun, the border engraved bevel edged lock signed 'JOSEPH MANTON, LONDON' below the rainproof pan, the tail of the lock engraved with a quiver and a musical trophy, the frizzed with roller foot and border engraved front face also inscribed 'JOSEPH MANTON PATENT' together with the serial number, the hammer external gravitating stop absent, much original finish present
