circa 1840, with twist-iron octagonal rifled 7 1/2in. barrel swinging to the side for loading, the top-flat signed 'INV-ON PERIN LEPAGE BTE' A PARIS', bead fore-sight, carved sighting groove at the standing breech, carved nipple-well, border and floral engraved long top-tang, concealed boxlock action with exposed scroll engraved side-hammer (thumb-spur shortened and re-modelled), chequered figured walnut grip with flared ebony pommel and elongated engraved iron domed butt-cap, spurred trigger-guard bow, scroll engraved integral iron fore-end with push-button barrel release and moulded tip.
