circa 1830, with triple-staged round tapering 40 1/2in. barrel, bead fore-sight, London proofs at the hooked breech, borderline engraved top-tang, screwed plug, borderline engraved bar-action lock signed 'T. SQUIRES', dolphin headed hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture including raised scrolled lower tang, engraved ramrod pipes to the under-barrel rib and probable original brass-tipped ramrod
