circa 1939, with double blind-fullered straight 9 3/4in. blade etched with floral scrolls and fouled anchors, carved 'dumbell' style cross-guard with fouled anchor device to centre and scabbard lock, cream celluloid grip with wire spiral binding and eagle and swastika pommel, traces of gilding to mounts, complete with its brass 'lightning bolt' type scabbard (cleaned) with suspension loop mounts carved in the form of oak leaves
