A CASED 14-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN SIGNED COLLINGS & WALLIS, no visible serial number, circa 1840, with 30in. barrels marked on the top-rib 'HEXHAM', engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar action locks signed 'COLLINGS & WALLIS' (rubbed), engraved hammers, chequered walnut half-stock (worn smooth), iron furniture and replacement ramrod (exposed iron surfaces with loss to detail) and complete with a later canvas and leather case, partially relined and recompartmented in blue baize with reproduction label inside lid, the tray also containing an original powder and shot flask
