A 28-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED BIRDING-GUN SIGNED SLINGSBY, no visible serial number, circa 1840, with round 30 1/2in. barrel engraved at breech (traces of signature), signed and engraved bar-action lock, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture except white metal escutcheons and nose-cap and original ramrod (one thimble detached but present)
