BONEHILL 12-BORE 1884 PATENT 'BELMONT INTERCHANGEABLE' BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR, serial no. 1115 Circa 1925, ACTION AT FAULT, 30in. nitro reproved barrels with file cut rib engraved at the breech end 'PATENT MAY 31.1884. CLIP LUMP', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl. choke, Bonehill patent treble-grip barrel-cocking action with 'clip lump' patent no. 8471 of 31st May 1884, use number 1115, removable striker discs, automatic safety (missing 'SAFE' plaque), triggers set for the left hand, some acanthus scrollwork and with ovals inscribed 'BELMONT INTERCHANGEABLE HAMMERLESS', (worn), the triggerguard tang engraved 'IBIEH', brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 1/4in. well-figured stock (cracked at head) with ornate chequering borders and recessed chequered side-panels, with 'THE INTERCHANGEABLE' buttplate, fore-end with ornate horn finial, weight 6lb. 12oz.
