A POLICE HANGER SWORD BY PARKER FIELD FOR THE MONMOUTHSHIRE CONSTABULARY, circa 1860, with 23 1/4 in. curved steel blade fullered on each side, etched on one side with 'PARKER / FIELD & SONS / 233 / Holborn / London', brass hilt and guard, quillion stamped 'M C / 14', black fish-skin grip, working scabbard clip, together with its black leather scabbard with brass fittings, some staining to the blade, missing grip-wire, some grazing to the scabbard leather and denting to the scabbard fittings
