KAVANAGH & SONS 12-BORE 'THE FENIAN' DOUBLE TRIGGER SLIDING-BREECH OVER AND UNDER NON-EJECTOR, serial no. 152, circa 1950, 25 1/4in. nitro barrels with no mid-rib and 7mm top-rib attached with collar and screw, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, spring-operated opening mechanism, operated by a lever at the hand and with locking crosspiece on the standing breech, the face with converging obturator discs, the action marked 'THE FENIAN', the left side also marked 'C. FODEN', internally marked with 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR', blacked finish, 15in. stock (cracked at head) including 5/8in. ventilated rubber recoil pad, weight 8lb. 8oz.
