circa 1860s with 35 1/4in. double-fullered blade with engraved scrolling, 'V R' and crown with sun-burst above, ricasso marked 'Hamburger / Rogers & Co / King St / Covent Garden London', and inset Wilkinson proof-disc, shark-skin covered grip with white metal wire, 'honeysuckle' design pierced guard, blade stained with some pitting, hilt heavily rusted, no scabbard, 41 3/4in. overall
