circa 1865, the original serial number possibly'1896', with octagonal damascus barrel with raised dovetail trophy rib (caustically cleaned), engraved long top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock and walnut half-stock, complete with ramrod (iron surfaces pitted and etched, woodwork with heavy termite damage and broken and repaired at wrist)
