A GOOD AMERICAN NAVAL LEVEE'S BRASS-HILTED SWORD SIGNED W.H. HORSTMANN & SONS, PHILADELPHIA, last half of teh 19th century, with slightly curved broad fullered 32 1/2in. broad fullered blade etched for teh first half with scrolls, trophies and the letters 'US', makers details at forte, and 'IRON PROOF' etched to back edge, solid brass hilt with integral 'P' shaped bow, complete with its brass mounted shagreen scabbard
