A RARE ONE HUNDRED FUNCTION MULTI-BLADED POCKET KNIFE WITH MOTHER OF PEARL SCALES, serial no.'1',
circa 1970, with 4 3/4in. master blade marked 'P. LANG, GERMANY' and 'STAINLESS', barbed hoof cleaner with serial number '1', one hundred implements including numerous special purpose blades in different shapes and sizes all polished to a mirror finish together with cigar and leather punches, moustache comb, tweezers, scissors, pliers, nippers, a scalpel, files, bone and wood saws, can and bottle openers, corkscrew, fork, an ear wax spoon, a bone toothpick and many others, mounted with carefully selected highly figured mother-of pearl scales, weight 35oz.

Provenance: The company of Pius Lang started on Christmas eve in Stetten, Germany in 1852. The company has specialised in multi-bladed exhibition knives of up to 200 functions with the 100 function model being their most famous. Until recently available only to special order, the production of these knives has temporarily ceased for the time being with the last retail price being 7,000 Euros for the 100 Model. Despite bearing the serial number '1', it is not believed to be the first knife produced.
