dated for 1874, with blued round 18in. barrel, applied fore-sight blade, small elevating ladder rear-sight, colour hardened rolling block action of Remington type, pale hardwood butt-stock with vacant identity disk set into the left hand side, brass heel-plate, splinter hard-wood fore-end with single barrel-band and replacement iron clearing rod
