circa 1930, with blued 31in. heavy octagonal barrel with cleaning rod, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with protective ears, top flat of the barrel with an applied rail, plain action engraved 'MARTINI TANNER & CO. FRAUENFELD' on the right, the left with 'MARTINI'S PATENT' along with the serial number, cocking indicator to the right hand side, tang-mounted pan-headed aperture sight, underlever with some repairs, left-handed butt-stock with moulded cheekpiece, Swiss-style iron push-button adjustable heelplate, double set triggers, iron sling swivels, the toe with applied shield indicating competition use in Leipzig in 1934
