for 1997, 22 3/4in. unsighted nitro barrel engraved 'RONALD WHARTON (FROM RIGBY'S), RUSPER, WEST SUSSEX, ENGLAND', the receiver (with thumb cutout) side-mounted with a Swarovski 6-24x50 Habicht telescopic sight, serial no. P711103849, in quickly-detachable mounts, the receiver ring engraved 'MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1909', the side wall with the Mauser Waffenfabrik Berlin markings (partially obscured by the side mount), hinged floorplate with push button release, captive take-down screw, the triggerguard engraved with a scrolling banner with the serial number, well-figured pistolgrip stock with right side cheekpiece and comb raising insert, horn pistolgrip-cap and finial, sling eyes,13 3/8in. pull, weight 7lb. 3oz. (unscoped) and 9lb. 5oz. (with scope); together with a highly-figured stock blank selected to be a replacement stock for this rifle
