A .455 SIX-SHOT SERVICE-REVOLVER, MODEL 'No1MKVI', serial no. 14139,
dated for 1924, with 6in. barrel, ramp and blade fore-sight, rear-sight notch to the stirrup latch, break-open frame with automatic ejecting fluted cylinder, the side of frame with crown over 'Enfield' stamp and marked 'W. RAYFIELD, 7TH BAT C.E.F', double action mechanism, chequered hard rubber grips and lanyard ring to the squared heel, much original finish remaining, together with an open-topped leather service holster

Provenance: This revolver was the former property of Sgt. Walter Rayfield V.C. of the 7th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force who won his V.C. at Arras, September 1918.
