circa 1885, with reblued round tapering 27 1/2in. barrel, applied blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional ladder and two folding leaves, the top of barrel signed 'C.G. BONEHILL, MAKER, BIRMINGHAM', serial number added to top of breech, plain slab-sided receiver with thumb-operated safe and tear-drop cocking indicator, dropping feed-ramp, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock with smooth iron trapdoor heel-plate, ring tipped under-lever and chequered walnut splinter fore-end with moulded horn tip, the whole refinished
