circa 1845, with round browned damascus twist-iron 38 1/2in. barrel signed 'WILLIAM GREENER LONDON, MAKER TO HRH PRINCE ALBERT' terminating in a scroll engraved panel, bead fore-sight, short top and side-ribs at breech, the top-rib with a panel of scroll engraving, scroll engraved top-tang, carved and moulded snail with platinum plug, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'W. GREENER', scroll engraved hammer, figured chequered walnut straight hand half-stock, iron furniture, twin barrel-keys and brass-tipped ebony ramrod, the whole retaining a good amount of original finish under hardened dirt
