A CASED 40-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1780, with round slightly swamped 10in. barrel, flat sighting plane signed 'WOGDON, LONDON', applied crescent fore-sight, private proofs and maker's mark 'R.W' at breech together with a moulded and a ball engraved band, standing notch rear-sight to the engraved top-tang, gold lined touch-hole, flat bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed 'WOGDON' (possibly refreshed), sliding safe behind the swan-necked cock, walnut full-stock with semi slab-sided bag-shaped butt, domed iron pommel-cap, set trigger, acorn finial and replacement horn-tipped ramrod, in a modern green velvet lined and compartmented wood case with modern accessories
