A GERMAN 1934 PATTERN DRESS SWORD FOR THE LUFTWAFFE, no visible serial number,
pre 1940, with plated lozenge cross-section 28 1/4in. blade, central blind fuller for the first third of its length, maker's mark at forte, carved and possibly originally plated cross-guard in the form of drooping eagle wings, the centre mounted with a sunwheel swastika device, spiral wire-bound blue-leather grip-piece, large sunwheel swastika disk pommel with oakleaves engraved around the edge and complete with its blue leather scabbard (central crease) with plated fittings, and together with its blue leather belt-frog
