A BRITISH CAVALRY OFFICER'S PATTERN 1912 SWORD, serial no. 50751,
for 1915, with narrow thrusting fullered 35in. blade etched for the first half of its length with scrolls and arabesques surrounding King George V's crown and cypher, a panel nearer the hilt etched with the owners name 'G. STACEY', iron three-quarter basket hilt engraved with flowing scrolls and 'honeysuckle' motifs, shagreen covered semi-pistol grip with wire binding, carved and engraved pommel, complete with its iron scabbard refinished with the correct green paint
