A SCARCE .22 BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'VIII', serial no. 1838,
probably a date code for August 1st, 1938, with blued stepped round 19in. rifled barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating buckhorn rear-sight, plain blued air-chamber stamped 'HAENAL MODEL VIII', the single pin trigger unit marked 'HAENAL' in an arrow shaped border, chequered walnut saw-handled semi pistol-gripped butt-stock, iron heel-plate, cast trigger guard with front-mounted trigger adjuster and moulded iron cocking link in lieu of a fore-end, some surface spotting but much original finish remaining
