LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with Scott patent gas check system, patent no. 617 of 1882, use number 3886, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving with stylised foliate fronds, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 13 7/8in. stock, fore-end with 'J. BLANCH & SON'S IMPROVED SNAP BOLT' release lever, weight 6lb. 7oz., in a brass-cornered leather bound case with contemporary J. Blanch trade label
