28in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels, the ribs engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. 32 HANOVER STREET, EDINBURGH', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, some pitting No.1 gun, Dickson patent round-actions incorporating patents 9399 and 10621 of 1887, use numbers 1701 and 1702, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, actions and furniture engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork and floral bouquets, the undersides gold-inlaid 'DICKSON'S PATENT', bright finish overall, 14 3/4in. figured stocks, weight 6lb. 4oz.
