28in. sleeved nitro barrels (circa 1992, slight movement on actions) retaining original ribs engraved 'W.W. GREENER. 68 HAYMARKET LONDON. GREENER'S WROUGHT STEEL INDESTRUCTABLE BY GUNPOWDER' and '1' and '2', the breech ends with game birds, the tubes with fine acanthus scroll detailing at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke (No.1) and imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke (No.2), scroll-back treble-grip actions with carved serpentine fences, manual side safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, A&D cocking levers, Baker fore-end ejectors, fine acanthus scroll engraving, brushed and reblued finish overall, 14 3/4in. well-figured stocks (No.2 cracked and repaired at hand) with horn insert drop points and including 3/4in. ebonite extensions, weight 6lb. 14oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case with some accessories and W.W.Greener gold-tooled red leather label

Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that the sleeving was undertaken by Whiteman Bros. (Worcester) and that the makers records have the guns as being started on 24th January 1899, completed on the 21st June of the same year
