AN EXTREMELY RARE 1 INCH (26.5mm) ALL-BRASS DOUBLE-BARRELLED SIGNAL-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, serial no. 1545,
believed by A.W.W. (Artilleriewerkstätten Wilhelmshaven), Germany circa 1900, with hinged drop-down 4 1/2in. side by side barrels, lift-up locking catch mounted centrally at breech, the breech-face with iron insert, moulded triple-stepped receiver narrowing to rear and fitted with a central cocking indicator, slab-sided frame with safety catch mounted to the left hand side annotated 'FEUER' and SICHER', smooth hardwood grips, the heel of the frame marked 'W.K 17' and 'No 1545' and possibly 'MK2' below a stylised crown
