38 1/4in. black powder only fine damascus barrels, the rib engraved and gold-inlaid in black type 'R. B. RODDA & CO. GUNMAKERS LONDON' and with '3' at the breech end, the tubes engraved and gold-inlaid in black type '7 & 8 Dalhousie Square Calcutta' and 'H R H The Maharajah of Jaipur', the breech ends profusely engraved with acanthus scrollwork, ivory bead fore-sight, Jones patent rotary underlever, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining much renewed colour-hardening overall, 14 1/4in. pistolgrip stock with engraved and colour-hardened steel pistolgrip-cap, two oval escutcheons (one engraved '3') and including 1in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 19lb. 4oz., in a new brass-cornered oak and leather case with canvas and leather outer, the interior lined in blue baize, the lid with Rodda trade label, internal protector flap with Holland & Holland trade label
