circa 1858, with blued octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel, blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed 'ROBERT ADAMS 76 KING WILLIAM STREET LONDON', solid borderline engraved frame marked 'ADAM'S PATENT No. 40845', sliding safe to the right hand side behind the plain five-shot numbered cylinder, spurred hammer and guarded trigger, chequered walnut semi saw-handled walnut grip with domed iron pommel-cap and articulated rammer to left side of barrel, the whole retaining strong amounts of original blued finish
