A 40-BORE PERCUSSION GILT KOFTGARI DECORATED PISTOL FOR THE INDIAN MARKET, UNSIGNED,
circa 1845, with octagonal slightly swamped 6 1/4in. barrel terminating in a bulbous vase muzzle, three separate bands of gilt koftgari decoration at the breech end, muzzle and central portions of the barrel, carved and gilded nipple mount, gilt koftgari decorated carved hammer, border engraved squared boxlock action (fatigue crack to top-plate), smooth walnut slab-sided butt, guarded trigger and iron under-barrel ramrod in turned thimbles
