A .31 PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT RIFLED TARGET-PISTOL, serial no. 2,
circa 1850, probably originally one of a pair, with fine damascus 10in. octagonal barrel, the top and top-side flats etched with rectangular panels inlaid with white metal floral decoration, small dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating standing notch rear-sight, moulded nipple boss, plain top-tang, plain back-action lock signed 'J. MULLER IN BERN', sculpted hammer, walnut half-stock with carved fluted grip, moulded iron spire pommel, spurred trigger guard bow, double set triggers and relief-carved fore-end tip (small loss to right hand upper edge), no provision for ramrod
