dated for 1852 and probably by Husqvarna, with brushed bright (as issued) round 41in. barrel, blade fore-sight integral with the nose-cap, intermediate brass standing notch rear-sight fixed to a separate band and iron standing notch back-sight to top-tang, moulded snail, the rear of breech stamped with a large letter 'H', plain lock of flint form with date, serial number and the letter 'H' stamp, hammer with external safety dog-catch, walnut full-stock with heavy brass furniture and cup-ended iron under-barrel ramrod
