converted from flintlock circa 1845, with 24in triple-staged false damascened barrel, bead fore-sight, acanthus engraved top-tang, bevel-edged lock with stepped round tail, engraved dolphin headed hammer, walnut half-stock with chequered wrist, the butt extended in wood by 2 1/4in. re-using the original iron heel-plate, white metal barrel key escutcheons (right hand absent) and brass tipped worm ended ramrod
