circa 1860, with heavy multi groove rifled 29in. octagonal barrel, the matted top-rib signed 'JOHN BLISSETT, 322 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON' over 'MAKERS TO H.R.H. THE DUKE OF SUSSEX' (rubbed), dove-tailed nickel fore-sight with provision for tunnel protector (absent), standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, patent breech with white-metal vented plug, scroll engraved top-tang, borderline engraved bar-action lock with traces of scroll engraving (possibly a working replacement), re-stocked with a chequered pistol-grip teak half-stock, probably for the Indian market, carved raised cheek-piece, iron furniture including large patchbox, heel-plate and trigger-guard, set trigger and heavy duty ball-ended ramrod
