possibly converted from flint, with triple-staged 47in. twist-iron barrel banded at the major intersection, the top-flat near breech signed 'H. NOCK 12 LUDGATE HILL, LONDON', bead fore-sight, carved nipple boss and engraved top-tang, border and acanthus leaf engraved lock signed 'H. NOCK', walnut half-stock (chequering worn smooth at wrist, inlet repair at fore-end), iron furniture including raised scrolled bottom tang, eyelets for swivels and provision for under-barrel ramrod (missing)
