Belgian, late production circa 1900, with blued triple-staged 31 1/2in. barrel, provision for bead fore-sight (absent), borderline and geometric engraved top-tang, borderline and arabesque engraved bar-action lock with en-suite hammer, walnut half-stock with basketweave chequered panels, raised cheek-piece, carved wrist terminating in a stags head with inset glass eyes, nickel cap-box to the left hand side and cast and engraved nickel furniture and under-barrel brass-tipped wood ramrod
Provenance: These diminutive small-bore guns were often used by specimen collectors, hence the term 'collector's gun'
