A 40-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK TURN-OFF TRAVELLING PISTOL WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, no visible serial number,
for between 1827-35, with round iron 2 1/2in. barrel (frozen), false rifling and broad engraved band at muzzle, underslung triangular form bayonet retained via the trigger-guard bow, squared border and scroll engraved boxlock action with central cock, sliding safe to the top-tang and walnut slab-sided butt with oval escutcheon to wrist
