A 28-BORE FLINTLOCK OVERCOAT PISTOL SIGNED 'MOLET', no visible serial number,
probably French or Belgian circa 1750, with 5in. octagonal to sixteen-sided to round cannon barrel, solid pointed top-tang, radiused lock with script signature, cock with pierced scroll to chin, walnut half-stock, the grip carved in the form of a dog's head, iron furniture including moulded side-plate, pillared trigger-guard bow and understrap co-joined to an integral barrel-band, provision for ramrod (missing)
