A 22-BORE MIQUELET BRASS-MOUNTED 'RAT-TAILED' HOLSTER-PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
Albanian circa 1780, with round iron 12 1/4in. barrel, octagonal form breech with rubbed out inlet makers poincons, probably Spanish, typical iron lock with perforated bridge plate, squared jaws to the cock and ribbed frizzen-face, sheet brass full-stock with embossed and engraved decoration, the top of wrist with two rows of applied white metal florettes, guarded trigger and turned iron under-barrel ramrod (some age cracking to brasswork)
